Puzzlebox Crosswords is an intriguing, and in general, quite enjoyable game to play. It features 20 crossword puzzles for you to attempt, and even re-attempt if you like. The puzzles are of fairly substantial length, and if handled on a one-a-day basis, you could get just under three weeks worth of enjoyment from the title.
When attempting a puzzle, you can either view it in the standard crossword format, zoomed in on a particular area of the puzzle, or you can simply view all of the clues, one after the other. Word entry is handled using standard text entry, so if you know how to write a text message (without using predictive text), you should have little trouble putting in your answers.
The game also features some rather handy tools to make your experience all the more pleasant, many of which you could not get with the crosswords in the paper. Something common but useful is the ability to switch between pen and pencil mode, allowing you to put certain letters or words that you are not necessarily sure are write in a different style of ink. | |
